Abstract:

This report is comprised of 12 case studies of recent approaches to the field of arts and disability in Australia. These organisations highlighted in the case studies are active in encouraging arts programs for community health and making art accessible to everyone (people with disabilities should not be treated any differently). Accessibility to the arts contributes to the wellbeing of not only people with disabilities, but also their carers, families, friends, and communities and this report promotes active change in the community towards the accessibility of arts by offering suggestions.
