Abstract:

This framework has been developed to enhance the profile of arts and health in Australia and to promote integration of arts and health practices and approaches into health promotion, services, settings and facilities. It is endorsed by the Ministers of Health and Ministers of Arts in every Australian state and territory.

The framework consists of four attachments. The first attachment discusses the practice of arts and health such as art programs, architecture, and public artworks and how it relates to arts and disability through access and inclusion. The second attachment contains a list of resources that include arts and health related organisations, guidelines, publications, and programs. Attachment three introduces evidence for arts and health and its correlation with wellbeing. Attachment four lists articles, case studies, and projects where arts and health are displayed.
