Abstract:

Advance was a national conference organised in partnership with Nottinghamshire Arts Development Officers, and supported by Arts Council England – an opportunity to ‘explore, investigate and take away practical ideas’. The  Conference held in October 2005 at BioCity Nottingham, was the culmination of Sustain, a Regional Arts Lottery funded project by Dance 4, working in partnership with Nottinghamshire Arts Development Officers.

The aims of were:

  •  To celebrate and share examples of successful projects using dance to improve health and wellbeing
  •  To focus on why dance and health is becoming a priority for national and local agencies
  •  To discover what makes successful partnerships
  •  To discuss ways of moving the work forward
