Abstract:
Entelechy Arts report covers an evaluation of Age Against the Machine, a Festival of Creative Ageing in the London Borough of Lewisham in 2019. It’s aims were to challenge ageism, champion older artists, instigate a strategic conversation about ageing and creativity, and engage Adult Social Care Commissioners in conversation about the potential of arts in their provision.
The evaluation research captured evidence for the Festival’s underlying aims and methods included over 100 interviews, several online surveys and workshops. The report was written before the main Coronavirus outbreak in the UK and completed as the lockdown began in March 2020.
