Abstract:
In 2014 Cubitt was commissioned by the Baring Foundation to produce a publication and conference on the theme of our Public Wisdom programme: exploring ageing, creativity and the public realm. The aim of both of these elements was to increase dialogue, make connections, and begin to build a ‘community of practice’.
In order to further these aims, and in line with Cubitt’s ethos of co-production, collaboration and peer-led learning, we decided to offer the pages of the publication as a platform for people to share their practice in the field.
This publication is intended as a platform, a forum, an ignition, rather than a report or evaluation. It is intended to stimulate new partnerships; new projects; new ideas; new debate and dialogue across sectors. It is intended to be a new beginning rather than an endpoint.
