Abstract:
Sing Ireland and Creative Ageing International have come together, with support from The Creative Ireland Programme, to create a range of resources that will encourage and explore singing into older age. Each of their guidebooks provides information, expert advice, recommendations, case studies and resources to assist with the process of setting up and running a singing group for older people. This second guidebook in the series looks at choirs in the community that are friendly to, and made with, people living with conditions like Alzheimer’s or Parkinson’s. These choirs support people, their families, and carers. Sing Ireland is the national development agency for group singing in Ireland. Creative Ageing International celebrates ageing.
