Abstract:
This toolkit is focused on offering art activities to enhance personal wellbeing of community participants, particularly older adults. The resource is for community care staff and volunteers to kick-start creative art adventures. It comprises activities guided by the United Kingdom’s ‘Five Ways to Wellbeing’ and is intended for a range of community care participants.
The resource gives a step-by-step guide for eight creative arts activities to enhance personal wellbeing and provides participants with an opportunity to interact and connect with others in the community. It offers tips to enable facilitators to modify the activities to accommodate participants’ abilities and to carry out sessions confidently, regardless of their previous experience.
