Abstract:
Collective Encounters is a Liverpool based arts organisation specialising in using theatre as a tool for social change to help tackle the root causes of poverty, inequality and social breakdown.
With the aid of infographics, this summary report gives an overview of Collective Encounters’ Youth Theatre and Youth Outreach programmes, between 2010 and 2017. These two programmes are evaluated annually against the following aims: to improve the skills and capacities of vulnerable, disadvantaged and looked after young people; to empower young people to become more active citizens; and to increase the well-being of vulnerable, disadvantaged and looked after young people.
The summary includes key examples of youth theatre productions, projects, outreach courses, and partnership working which have been organised by Collective Encounters between 2010 and 2017.
