Abstract:
This document by ERS Research and Consultancy for Nesta and the Arts Council of Wales, is a quick reference point to assist with identifying an evidence base for strategic and project planning. The intention is to make the available evidence more accessible and widely known will help in the aim of fostering a culture of innovation in the arts sector in Wales. The structure and content has been guided by a set of research questions arising from the five projects funded by the Digital Innovation Fund for the Arts in Wales to carry out research and development.
It is their intention that the reader can ‘dip in and out’ of the document; thus, each section is standalone and can be read in any order, so to this end they have provided summary statements and appropriate tables and diagrams. The section on Arts Impact on Tackling Poverty and Disadvantage has specific health criteria including subjective wellbeing.
