Abstract:
This report examines the benefits of using drama and creative techniques with older people, including those with dementia, in care homes. Over a period of six months, the Anchor Group piloted a series of drama workshops in 17 of their care homes with the intention that the techniques taught by a professional drama teacher, could become a sustainable part of the activities led by the care home staff to enrich – both mentally and physically – the lives of residents, particularly those with dementia.
