Abstract:
Artists play a central role in engaging communities, by co-creating works with the community-based interest groups and under-reached communities, artists encourage conversations and appreciation for the arts among participants. This document details twelve case studies which are divided into three areas: strengthening communities, cultivating a sense of place and belonging and encouraging creative expression. The case studies include a range of art forms including writing, dancing, performing arts and drumming, and foster inter-generational relationships.
