Abstract:
Artists play a central role in engaging communities, by co-creating works with community-based interest groups and under-reached communities, artists encourage conversations and appreciation for the arts among participants. This document details twelve more case studies which are divided into three areas: expressing place identity, empowering communities through art access and giving voice to seniors.
The case studies include projects working with people with learning disabilities, under privileged youth, children who are visually impaired and people with dementia, and cover a range of art forms including digital art with seniors, inclusive theatre and a large-scale community installation.
