This report provides descriptions of arts activities with older people in Japan. It is based on visits made by the author on a study trip to the country in 2015 organised by the British Council and co-funded by the Baring Foundation and the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation– UK Branch.
It serves to document ‘ inspiring practice, very little of which is currently available’ in English. It provides contextual information on the large population of older and elderly people in Japan and challenges to their health.
