Abstract:
This report’s key findings were that arts and health should be firmly recognised as being, integral to health, healthcare provision and healthcare environments, including supporting staff. It also noted that arts and health initiatives are delivering benefits across a range of areas for health, and enable the DoH and NHS to contribute to Government initiatives.
Argues that the DoH has a large role in creating an environment for arts and health to prosper It should make a clear statement on the value of arts and health, build partnerships and publish a prospectus for arts in health collaboratively.
