Abstract:
At the heart of this pilot stood a four-week full-time dance-based intervention, in which participants, recruited by their clinical workers, learnt how to dance and then rehearsed and performed an original dance work to invited audiences. Participants self-scored at the beginning, middle and end of the intervention on the Warwick Edinburgh Scale (WEMWEBS). The group moved from below average wellbeing at the beginning of the intervention to achieving normal wellbeing levels by the end.
