Abstract:

This report presents the results of a study conducted among educators at museums and heritage institutions in the Netherlands in 2019, with the aim of gaining a clear and comprehensive picture of how this sector has fared since the 2007 Trend Report. Based on research carried out via a survey and thirty in-depth interviews, the report addresses key questions:
• What have been the main developments in the twelve years since the previous Trend Report was published?
• What role do museums envisage for education?
• Where do priorities lie and which new trends are already taking shape?
