This guide was produced by the Agency for Cultural Well-being (Hyvinvoinnin välitystoimisto (HVVT) in Finland. The Agency for Cultural Well-being is a three year EU-funded project, run by Humak University of Applied Sciences and key partners. The Agency for Cultural Wellbeing is a multiprofessional innovation network that investigates, collects and shares data and good practices, supports professionals and connects people working within the art and healthcare sectors. Its long term goal is to promote art and culture in the fields of social work and health care.

This guide looks at how the arts can be applied in a variety of community settings (including workplace communities, hospitals, nursing homes, prisons) in order to increase wellbeing.

It offers practical tips for successful collaborative working between artists, their customers and for producers of art. Information was gathered via a) qualitative interviews with professional producers or people working as producers, and artists and b) questionnaires aimed at producers, people working in social work and healthcare, and artists.
